Senegal's labour unions' general strike over labour and social security laws and the rising cost of living continues

Senegal's labour unions have launched a 72-hour general strike, which began on Wednesday and ends today, to protest new labour and social security laws and the rising cost of living. Meanwhile, the government has questioned the strike's legality and threatened disciplinary action. Lulu Gaboo spoke to Amadou Camara Gueye, Senegal-based journalist and geopolitical Analyst.
