South Africa's (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that major reforms to the country's visa system, including the implementation of recommendations from the Work Visa Review, a new electronic travel authorization system, and a points-based system aimed at attracting skilled professionals and investors, while strengthening measures to curb illegal immigration are underway. Ramaphosa was speaking at the launch of the second phase of Operation Vulindlela, a joint initiative of the Presidency and National Treasury to accelerate the implementation of structural reforms and support economic recovery.
