Five of South Africa's (SA) Oryx helicopters are expected to remain in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) indefinitely due to a lack of funding by the SA military.
It is also reported that around 375 soldiers from the military protective forces remains deployed in Lubumbashi and another 350 soldiers are stations in Kinshasa. The reason for their presence there is unclear.
