The 2025 South African Reconciliation Barometer shows a country still committed to democracy, but struggling with deep social challenges.

The survey was conducted a year into the Government of National Unity, formed after the ANC lost its majority in the 2024 elections.

The study also shows that trust in political parties and public institutions remains low.
