South Africa (SA) is observing Pregnancy Awareness Week this week from 3 to 7 February, highlighting the importance of education in ensuring maternal and foetal health. Dr. Masima Moratwe, Profmed ambassador, emphasises that understanding bodily changes and proper care during pregnancy is crucial.
She warns that many women face unnecessary risks due to a lack of information and stresses the need for awareness to help expectant mothers recognize warning signs, prevent complications, and seek medical assistance when necessary.
