As South Africa approaches the February Budget Speech, the national conversation around fiscal policy, tariffs and industry pressures is intensifying.

 However, one critical issue risks being overlooked: the rising burden of preventable diseases such as diabetes, obesity and hypertension on both families and the healthcare system.
