The pulling system which was used at a disused shaft 11 in Stilfontein in the North West province of South Africa (SA) has been dismantled, thus making it impossible for the rescue efforts by the community members to continue.
The community members have been using a pulling system to retrieve the miners from the shaft even the dead bodies have been pulled up utilising this system.
