Professor Muhammad Mohsin Javad, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at ORIC Virtual University of Pakistan, has shared his thoughts on the ongoing conflict between Pakistan and India in the Kashmir region. He emphasized the shift from religious to economic factors as the root causes of modern geopolitical tensions, stressing that nations should focus on sustainable resource use rather than conflict. Professor Javad called on international communities, including the USA, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and China, to play a role in fostering peace. Channel Africa's reporter Michael Mbewe caught up with Professor Javad outside of the recently concluded second instalment of International Conference on High Education at the University of South Africa (UNISA) on Thursday.
