The number of children mauled to death in a pit bull attack has risen to three in less than one week in South Africa. The latest reported death is that of a one-year-old toddler in the country's Eastern Cape province. It's believed that the dog belonged to a neighbour.
Recently petitions for and against the banning of pit bulls have taken the country by storm with many from each side condemning the other petition.
