Zambians from all walks of life held a peaceful protest march this morning against the rising cases of rape and other gender-based violence (GBV) abuses in the country.
Recently, there have been numerous cases where minors are raped and killed, and in some instances, the perpetrators are biological parents or siblings of the victims.
Rape cases among women have also increased, according to reports recorded by the police. The protest in Lusaka is being spearheaded by the Council of Non-Governmental and Gender Organisations in the country. Channel Africa correspondent in Zambia, Arthur Davies Sikopo, spoke to Lulu Gaboo.
