Nigerian televangelist, Timothy Omotoso is expected to appear in South Africa's (SA) East London's Magistrate court after he was arrested this past weekend, on charges of contravening the provisions of the Immigration Act.
The arrest comes after the Minister of Home Affairs rejected the recent application to overturn the earlier decision to prohibit Omotoso from South Africa. Omotoso was acquitted on 32 sexual-assault related charges last month. This decision means that he is now illegally in the country.
