South Africa's opposition uMkhondo weSizwe party's General Secretary Floyd Shivambu, has been condemned for visiting self-proclaimed evangelist Shepherd Bushiri, who fled to his home country of Malawi after being accused of rape and fraud. In a twist of events, a Malawian court last month backed South Africa's extradition request for the pair to answer these allegations. In a press release published on Sunday, the MK party distanced itself from Shivambu's visit to Bushiri's Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church. Thabiso Lehoko spoke to Malawian political commentator Dr George Chaima.
