South African Professor of Practice at the University of Johannesburg's School of Public Management, Governance & Public Policy Mary Metcalfe says that the attendance of President Cyril Ramaphosa at the annual Department of Basic Education Annual Lekgotla last Thursday was once again a significant moment. Professor Metcalfe emphasized that Ramaphosa's presence at the gathering was particularly notable as he acknowledged the Lekgotla's strong focus on multilateralism, aligning with South Africa's leadership in hosting the G20.
