Malawi's Ministry of Justice has filed papers before the high court in Lilongwe opposing a review application launched by self-proclaimed prophet, Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary, against their extradition to South Africa.
The couple is challenging a ruling by the chief resident magistrate in Lilongwe in March this year that ordered that they be surrendered to South Africa.
