President Donald Trump's Senior Adviser for Africa, Massad Boulos hopes that a draft peace deal between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will be concluded soon.
Boulas says he spoke with both presidents and the United States is now awaiting final feedback due this weekend. Earlier this month the two countries submitted a proposal as part of a process meant to end the fighting in eastern Congo and attract billions of dollars of Western investment.
