Amid growing anti-government protests, Gabon's government has suspended social media platforms, including Facebook and TikTok.
The country's media regulator, the High Authority for Communication, announced the immediate suspension, citing concerns over national security and accusing online content of spreading hate speech, defamation, false information, cyberbullying, and material that could destabilise state institutions.
