The City of Johannesburg in South Africa says it is in the process of reclaiming hijacked and non-compliant buildings in the Johannesburg inner city. It comes after a residential building caught fire in the Johannesburg CBD , claiming the lives of two people. The two-storey building had been partitioned by shacks.
It's alleged a woman sprayed paraffin on one of the shacks and set it alight. Thami Ngubeni spoke to Siyabonga Mahlangu, General Secretary of Inner City Federation, a civil society group.
