Ghana and Nigeria are urging the African Union (AU) to address the issues around foreign nationals in South Africa (SA) referring to it as "Afrophobia" with both countries condemning the ongoing protests against undocumented foreign nationals in the southern African nation. They have called for a united response to the growing unrest, which has led to the mass exodus of nearly 150 - thousand migrants from SA. 

The Foreign Ministers of both countries met to discuss the violence targeting African nationals and emphasized the need for urgent action to protect migrants and address the underlying socioeconomic issues contributing to the tension.
