Kenyan activists have accused authorities of violating a court order from last month halting the setting up of an American-backed Ebola quarantine center after reports surfaced that Americans were being quarantined in the country.

The center was meant to take in and quarantine Americans evacuated from Congo, where an Ebola outbreak that erupted two months ago has so far killed at least 930 people, out of the 2,344 cases confirmed there.

   Kenyan authorities accused of violating a court order on Ebola quarantine

The French appeals court has upheld a 27-year prison sentence for former Rwandan doctor Eugène Rwamucyo, over his role in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

According to a  judicial source, the Paris court confirmed the sentence late Friday into Saturday. Rwamucyo, 67, was again found guilty of complicity in genocide, complicity in crimes against humanity, and joining a criminal conspiracy to prepare those crimes. He was, however, cleared of genocide and crimes against humanity charges.

Rwamucyo's 27 -year prison sentence upheld by French court

Andy Burnham, is Britain's new Prime Minister. After meeting King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, Burnham officially took over from Keir Starmer, who stepped down after just two years in office.

In his farewell, Starmer said he was proud of his record and insisted Britain was stronger than when he took office.
