Close ally discusses the late Edgar Lungu's legacy

View descriptionShare

Zambia's former President, Edgar Lungu, has died in a hospital in South Africa. Lungu ruled the country for seven years following the death of President Michael Sata, who died in office in 2014, and the elections held in 2015. The former President, who returned to politics after his retirement when he lost the elections in 2021, was seen as a critical factor in Zambia's political landscape despite being blocked from contesting again by the courts. To discuss Lungu's legacy, Lulu Gaboo spoke to Chanoda Ngwira, spokesperson for the Kum'mawa Development Coalition and a close ally of the former President.
