Seventeen candidates are vying for Malawi’s top job in tomorrow’s general elections, with the Malawi Electoral Commission declaring it is fully prepared.
The contenders include incumbent president Lazarus Chakwera, former presidents Peter Mutharika and Joyce Banda, current vice-president Michael Usi, and former Reserve Bank Governor Dalitso Kabambe.
Voters say job creation and economic stability remain top priorities as the country heads to the polls.
