As the world gears up to observe Africa Day, South Africa's Freedom Park, in partnership with ZA Central Registry and Registry Africa, is set to host a groundbreaking pan-African campaign, "Silencing the Guns, Let the Drums Roll" on Sunday.
The event will bring together all 55 African Union member states in a symbolic gesture of unity and peace. This year the African Union is marking its 62nd anniversary under the theme "Revisiting Our History, Shaping Our Future".
To discuss the day further Innocent Semosa spoke to Professor Edith Phaswana, Acting Executive Dean of the Thabo Mbeki African School of International and Public Affairs who is currently in Tanzania.
