Today, we're looking at the role of young people in shaping the future of democracy, particularly the push for greater accountability and a stronger voice in decision-making. Across Africa, young people are increasingly demanding a greater role in shaping policies that affect their lives and their futures. Our guest is Munashe Cuthbert Masiyiwa, Founder and Executive Director of the Youth Accountability Initiative in Zimbabwe, a youth-led organisation focused on public finance accountability, natural resource governance, climate action and development financing. A data scientist, economist and governance advocate, he is also one of the finalists for the 2026 Kofi Annan NextGen Democracy Prize.
