The South African Photographer of the Year competition exhibition is set to open in Cape Town in the Western Cape province.  

The annual event is a highlight for both amateur and professional photographers celebrating the stunning diversity and beauty of the African wildlife and nature. South African Photographer of the Year competition exhibition

Namibia extended voting in the presidential and parliamentary elections by two days in areas affected by procedural delays.

The presidential and National Assembly elections on Wednesday, were marred by a series of technical malfunctions and dwindling ballot papers, forcing scores of voters to queue for hours.

Opposition political parties in the country are threatening a court challenge over the credibility of the election.

Peter Ndoro spoke to National General Secretary of the Independent Patriots for Change, Christine Aochamus and Sophie Mokoena -SABC's international editor.

Offshore hackers have stolen 62 billion Ugandan shillings an equivalent of 16.8 million US dollars from Uganda's central bank.

The hackers, identifying themselves as -Waste, reportedly accessed the Bank of Uganda's IT systems and illicitly transferred the funds earlier this month.

It's reported that the hacking group is based in Southeast Asia and has sent part of the stolen money to Japan.

It also reported that the central bank successfully recovered over half of the money from the hackers.

In response to the cyber-attack, President Yoweri Museveni has ordered an investigation.
