The Southern African Development Community, known as SADC, is calling for greater regional cooperation as member states face growing geopolitical tensions, economic pressures and security challenges. South Africa has taken over the chairship of the SADC Council of Ministers from Zimbabwe, with peace and security, industrialisation and regional trade among its key priorities.
