South Africa's National Association of School Governing Bodies, NASGB, says government is not doing enough to ensure the safety of residents of townships.
The association has called on the government to urgently investigate who is behind the food poisoning incidents.
This as the country sees a rises in deaths related to food poisoning, especially among children.
The latest incident involves a ten-year-old girl from Alexander township in northern Johannesburg.
