On the weekly Profile on Wednesday, Rise and Shine brings you another one of Africa's most inspiring achievers.
The guest this time is a highly respected orthopaedic surgeon specialising in spine surgery.
She has blazed quite a trail in her field being the first and only woman AO trained spinal surgeon in South Africa.
She has risen to the top of a field where women make up less than 5% of orthopaedic surgeons.
Her track record of successful surgeries is impressive and is renowned for using a unique, holistic approach to deliver exceptional spine healthcare, going above and beyond traditional treatment approaches.
Peter Ndoro spoke to Dr Lusanda Bomela and began by asking her about her early years.
