The Director General of the World Health Organization, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, says the agency has raised its risk assessment for the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo from high to very high at national level. The outbreak, linked to the Bundibugyo strain of the virus, has raised fears of regional spread, with countries bordering the DRC urged to step up surveillance and preparedness measures.
