Over a thousand women from over a dozen countries across the African continent are expected to converge in Johannesburg, South Africa (SA), next week for a five-day dialogue focused on advancing women's contributions to the continental and global agenda.

 According to the conveners of the dialogue, Women's Development Business Trust, 60% of the attendees are women from grassroots areas, including urban and rural communities, many of whom have never travelled beyond their home countries.
