The World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) has published a report titled "That was the last time I saw my brother", which is the first research focusing on extrajudicial killings in Libya. According to the report, Libyan law enforcement agents and militias killed at least 581 civilians, both nationals and migrants, between January 2020 and March 2022. This number includes people executed in detention facilities or tortured to death.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign in South Africa is calling on the government to impose sanctions on Israel over the war in Gaza. The African Union has officially launched the Africa Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA) on Wednesday, establishing the continent's first homegrown, independent credit rating institution. The rating agency was launched in Port Louis in Mauritius. The private-sector-driven agency aims to challenge the dominance of the -big three - Western firms-S&P, Moody's, and Fitch-which African leaders have long accused of carrying structural biases that inflate borrowing costs for African nations. AfCRA will also issue inaugural credit scores for the 23 African nations currently unrated by global agencies.
