Today marks 40 years since a plane crash killed Mozambique's first president, Samora Machel, and 34 others. Machel was a leading figure in the struggle against colonialism in Africa and became president when Mozambique gained independence in 1975. South Africa and Mozambique are marking the anniversary at Mbuzini village in South Africa's Mpumalanga province, near the site of the crash. Mthobisi Mkhaliphi reports.
