Malawi has become the latest country to ratify the Tripartite Free Trade Area agreement which consists of the East African Community - Comesa and SADC blocs.
The move is expected to integrate the country into the African trade bloc and the world economy bringing competition to local goods and services. 22 member States have signed the agreement while 12 have ratified it. Channel Africa's George Mhango reports from Blantyre.
