Liberia's youth political participation under spotlight after 179th Independence anniversary

We continue with our focus on Liberia, which recently marked 179 years of independence. The milestone has raised questions are growing about the role of young people in shaping the country's democratic future amid concerns over low political participation and voter apathy. Youth remain the country's largest demographic, yet many feel disconnected from the political process and institutions. To discuss youth representation, rebuilding confidence in politics, and the National Patriotic Party's efforts to reconnect with a new generation despite its controversial past, Tsepiso Makwetla spoke to Shardrick Bloyue, Senior National Assistant Secretary General for Press, Propaganda and Publicity of the National Patriotic Party in Liberia.
