Botswana recruits 300 nurses to strengthen rural healthcare and maternal services

The government of Botswana has announced 300 new nursing posts, with priority given to deploying midwives to rural hospitals facing severe staff shortages. The move is aimed at reducing patient waiting times, easing pressure on healthcare workers and improving maternal health services. The government also says the recruitment of 97 specialist doctors is under way. Channel Africa's Sisi Segalo reports.
