Senators in Kenya have voted to impeach the country's Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua.
This after he failed to testify at his impeachment trial.
Gachagua had been due to appear in the Senate after lunch on Thursday, to defend himself, a day after he had pleaded not guilty to 11 charges.
He did not show up and his lawyer requested a postponement saying his client was suffering from chest pains.
Senators chose to continue the trial without him.
A week ago, Gachagua, is wealthy businessman from the vote-rich central Mount Kenya region, he described the impeachment as a political lynching.
