Wealth tax, a political divisive economic policy, it's been in the public discourse for many years now South Africa, but government has not been able to implement it.

There could be good reason for that with tax practitioners' adamant that this will decimate the very limited very wealthy tax base that the country has.

It's clear what would have been considered by the country's National Treasury to make this a viable option.
