South Africa's Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Jane Sithole says the two day Inaugural Embassies Business Fair and Conference being held at the Modderfontein Golf Club in Johannesburg, Gauteng region emphasizes the need for opening doors for collaboration between nations in order to succeed.

Speaking to Channel Africa on the margins of the conference, Deputy Minister Sithole said that the gathering also serves as a vehicle for fostering easy cross border trade mechanism and show the globe that Africans can support one another.

Hundreds of people were detained on Thursday in Kenya's capital, Nairobi, during protests marking the second anniversary of deadly anti-government demonstrations in 2024. At least 60 people were killed when police opened fire outside Parliament in Nairobi during the June 2024 protests, which were sparked by tax increases.
