The first witness in Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker testified that he had a highly confidential agreement to use his tabloid to help Trump's 2016 presidential bid.

Pecker testified in a New York court that at a meeting in 2015 he told Trump that the Enquirer would publish favorable stories about him and keep an eye out for women selling stories that might hurt him.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold the 15th annual Islamic Summit Conference on May 4 to 5 in the Gambian capital, Banjul. The Summit which was postponed twice, will be held under the theme:

"Enhancing Unity and Solidarity through Dialogue for Sustainable Development. Leaders of OIC member states are expected to discuss political issues of the Islamic world, most notably the Palestinian cause, economic, humanitarian, social and cultural issues.

TIME Magazine has recognized South African born Professor Tulio de Oliveira in its inaugural 2024 TIME100 Health list, a new annual compilation that celebrates 100 individuals who have had the most impact on global health this year.

This recognition, determined by TIME's international network of editors, thought leaders, and previous honourees, marks De Oliveira's second appearance in TIME's influential rankings, following his previous inclusion in the 2022 TIME100 list of the world's most influential people.
