Namibia, Fiji, the United States and Hungary have each filed legal papers relating to the application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in relation to the situation in the Gaza Strip. The move comes amid growing international legal and diplomatic scrutiny of the ongoing conflict and raises important questions about the role of international law, state obligations under the Genocide Convention, and what these filings could mean for accountability.
