Israeli anti-occupation groups are among those who have criticised the country's newly-approved measures in the occupied West Bank, claiming that they amount to annexation by another name. The changes will include the cancellation of a decades-old prohibition on the direct sale of West Bank land to Jewish buyers, and the declassification of local land registry records. The outrage comes days after the European Union and a group of Muslim countries slammed and called the move, a "dangerous escalation."
