In this first part of my interview with Arrnott Olssen, we sit down to explore the foundation of his story, long before the TV appearances, the pop-up restaurants and the creative worlds he now moves through so effortlessly.

Arrnott opens up about his childhood in Fiji and the experience of moving to Australia with his mum and older brother, reflecting on the cultural grounding that still shapes who he is today. He speaks honestly and openly about the close relationship he and his mum shared and their beautiful bond.

We go back to where it all began in the public eye… his breakout moment on Popstars in 2001 and again appearing on the show in 2004 and what that experience taught him. Arrnott also reflects on what it means to still perform today and why music continues to be a constant source of expression and connection.

This is a story of beginnings, identity and the quiet thread of music that has carried him through it all.
