When you and your spouse are separated due to travel, how do you express your love to them if their love language is physical touch? Call and tell them how much you would want to express your love in a physical way if they were at home. Your spouse will feel your love emotionally.
Brenda writes Gary, my Fiancees love language is physical touch. However, I travel a lot. Do you have any suggestions?
All of these love languages can be expressed long distance. It is true that if you're not physically present with the person, then you can't put your arm around them or you can't reach over and hold hands with them. You can say, if I were with you right now, I'd give you a big hug and a big kiss that you would never forget. And they get it emotionally. Even though you're not present with them physically. You're thinking about their love language and you're verbalizing to them what you would do if you were with them. Or you can also do that texting them or sending them an email, but it's communicating to them. I'm not only thinking about you, I'm thinking about how to express my love to you. I think on short business trips you'll find that'll be helpful.
