A chartered accountant by training, but a human-centric professional at heart, Tantaswa Fubu is one of the leading ladies in corporate South Africa’s transformation project. Drawing from the wisdoms and teachings of her parents, she believes she is neither above nor below anyone – a philosophy that has seen her build teams that are resilient, people-centred and motivated.
Currently Barloworld Limited’s Group Executive for Human Capital, Transformation and Internal Audit, Tantaswa boasts a career that has seen her head up Human Resources and Transformation at KPMG SA and has also served as national president at the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA) and has also served as a non-executive director on a number of boards.
In this episode of the #987Woman Leadership Conversations Podcast Series, Tantaswa shares her story and prolifically shares insight on how to create work spaces that are safe spaces.
Driven by her love for people, her philosophy on work culture and building successful businesses is deeply centred on taking care of employees and recognising them not just as staff, but as humans with history, with dreams and a valuable contribution to make, given the space and time.
