Anele had the shock of her life yesterday when she found a porcupine wandering around her house. Security was called to remove it... but here's the problem: they left without saying whether they'd actually caught it. So now she's wondering... is there still a porcupine hiding somewhere on the property?

That got us thinking... across South Africa, different cultures have very different beliefs about animals that unexpectedly appear at your home. For some, it's nothing more than nature doing its thing. For others, it's a warning, a message from the ancestors, a sign of good luck... or even bad luck. A porcupine, in particular, carries all sorts of meanings depending on who you ask.
