The song was such a classic, it reminded Cindy of her brother, Robbie Grota!

You’ve had your birthday trip with your best friends planned for eight months, flights booked, hotels paid for, most of it non-refundable. Then, three weeks before the trip, your partner’s sister announces that her wedding is happening on your birthday. Now your partner and his whole family expect you to cancel the trip and attend the wedding.

But do you really have to? Is your partner’s family wedding an obvious priority, or is it unfair to expect you to throw away a trip you planned and paid for months ago? And does it change things because it’s your partner’s sister?

Hang out with Anele and The Club on 947 every weekday morning. Popular radio hosts Anele Mdoda, Frankie du Toit, Thembekile Mrototo, and Cindy Poluta take fun to the next level with the biggest guests, hottest conversations, feel-good vibes, and the best music to get you going! Would you cancel your birthday trip for your partner’s family wedding?

Adam has sent us a voice note, and he’s asking a question that could get VERY interesting. His brother is married, while Adam is single, and the three of them apparently get along really well. So much so that the brother and his wife regularly invite Adam along on holidays and trips.

But there’s one thing that’s been bothering him: whenever they go away together, everything gets split 50/50. The couple pays half, Adam pays half. And Adam’s asking… is that actually fair? Because technically, he’s one person and they’re two. Should a married couple split the cost between themselves and Adam pays his own share? Or, if they’re inviting him along, should they be covering more of the holiday? And does it make a difference if they’re the ones choosing the accommodation, restaurants and activities?

Is 50/50 between 3 people fair when 2 of those people are a married couple?

https://api.omny.fm/orgs/5dcefa8e-00a9-4595-8ce1-a4ab0080f142/clips/e840e9c1-e69b-43ef-bf08-b4d60077c62d/transcript

There’s a big difference between singing along at a massive stadium concert and sitting in a theatre watching a live performance. At a stadium, everyone is shouting the lyrics, dancing and getting involved. But in a theatre, where you’re sitting close to the stage and surrounded by people who paid to hear the performers, should you keep your singing to yourself?

If you know every word, are you allowed to sing along because you’re enjoying yourself? Or does your enjoyment stop when it starts affecting the people sitting around you?
