The Central New York SPCA has had a tumultuous year with a lot of management and board changes, but the new regime is very hopeful that many positive changes have already happened and they continue to work hard to improve as many lives of homeless animals that they can. A group of developers have taken over a property in Syracuse’s Valley Section that was overrun by squatters and drug users/ dealers living in it. They bought the building out of foreclosure and have invested millions of dollars in getting the building back on its feet, as well as have a positive impact on the surrounding neighborhood. Abe Goldstein (Gold Steen) is overlooking the property management and he says their first priority was very high security and gated community for those who will be living there.
