It's Group Therapy Thursday!

Dear Ted and Amy,
My daughter is getting married in just a few months and she had a meeting with her wedding DJ recently. I was asking her about it because my husband and I have a pretty strange last name and I just wanted to remind her that she had to give the pronunciation of all of the last names of the bridal party when they are introduced at the reception. She said that the DJ says most people don't do that anymore. He says it's mainly just the bride and groom that are announced "for the first time" and for the rest of the party, including the parents, they just walk into the reception with music. He said that it gets too confusing and it's hard to pronounce everyone's name right, so they all just leave it out now. She doesn't seem to have a problem with it! I know it's her wedding and it's just a small part, but I love attending a wedding and hearing the names of everyone walking in. And to be honest, it would nice to be acknowledged. It just makes it more exciting! Is he nuts? I'm sure he'll do it if she insists but if it's gone by the way of the chicken dance, I guess I just won't push it.
