Russia launched a missile strike on Kyiv, with a drone attack hitting a building in the Ukrainian capital one day before scheduled peace talks between Ukraine and the United States. The strike resulted in one death, several injuries, and left tens of thousands without power in freezing conditions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky characterised the attack as Russia's response to ongoing peace efforts ahead of his meeting with Donald Trump.
