Little did he know he was voluntarily on his way to war … Michael Czuboka served with the 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in the Korean War in 1950-51. His battalion received the U.S. Presidential Citation for “extraordinary heroism at Kapyong, Korea, in April, 1951 where 2 PPCLI was attacked savagely and completely surrounded.
