Doctors and medical students turned out in the thousands on Sunday to protest the Quebec government’s proposed health care reform law.
The crowd packed the Bell Centre in Montreal to voice their opposition to the law that critics call dangerous and authoritarian.
The law changes how Quebec doctors are compensated by the province by tying their pay to performance standards.
It also imposes penalties of up to $20,000 for doctors who disrupt medical services by protesting.
